The role
The role of a Youth Support Worker involves working within the classroom with a dedicated behavioural support team providing learning support to students in a SEMH (social Emotional, Mental Health and EBD (Emotional, Behavioural difficulties) pupil referral unit (PRU) in the Doncaster area. In this role you will encourage, support and engage with young people aged 11 – 16 years old (KS3/4) who are disengaged from Education. You would do this in either small, larger groups or on a 1:1 basis. You will demonstrate this through a variety of sports-based P.E lessons or within classroom-based learning situations such as food technology or literally and numeracy. This role is a full time temporary to permanent position.
