About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join this supportive team starting in January 2025. This full-time, long-term role is perfect for someone who is passionate about education and eager to make a difference in a positive, structured setting. As an HLTA, you’ll work across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, playing a vital role in supporting teachers and enhancing pupils’ learning experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to step up or for a qualified HLTA seeking a new and rewarding challenge.
Application Requirements:
• HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• An understanding of safeguarding procedures and commitment to ensuring pupil well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and delivering engaging learning activities under the guidance of class teachers.
• Supporting pupils’ learning on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, targeting specific areas where they may need extra help.
• Leading whole-class sessions when needed, covering lessons and assisting with classroom management.
• Assisting in planning creative and differentiated resources to suit varied learning styles and abilities.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative environment and promote a love of learning.
