Your New Role
As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing high-quality recycling balers from concept to completion. You will collaborate closely with cross-departmental teams to deliver robust engineering solutions that enhance performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include preparing detailed 3D and 2D manufacturing drawings, creating comprehensive documentation, liaising with suppliers, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment, ideally involving hydraulic and electrical systems. Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D CAD) is essential, with skills in AutoCAD (2D) being desirable. Experience with MRP systems is advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external suppliers, are also required.
