Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEMH Outreach Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Brentwood Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: Deliver English and Maths tuition to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Create and implement individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Provide academic support and guidance to help students achieve their educational goals Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Specialist knowledge of teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level Experience working with students with SEMH needs Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience: Demonstrable experience in delivering tailored tuition to students with SEMH needs Proven track record of improving student outcomes Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or related field Additional training in behaviour management techniques Working Conditions: Part-time hours, with flexibility required to meet student needs Work in a learners home or community setting Collaborative work with school staff, parents, and external support services All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
