As an Occupational Therapist in a special school offering both day and residential provisions, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the well-being of these young individuals.
Flexible working options are available, allowing you to choose between a minimum of two days a week during term time to a full five-day week, making it easier to balance your professional and personal life.Successful candidate will:1. Assess and provide tailored therapeutic interventions for young people with complex needs.2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans.3. Support the emotional and mental well-being of students through targeted therapeutic activities.4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments as necessary.5. Provide training and support to staff to ensure a holistic approach to student care.6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all therapeutic activities and progress.Desirable Experience:1. Previous experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs.2. Strong knowledge of post-qualifying relevant work experience.3. Ability to demonstrate effective therapeutic interventions.4. Experience in a school or educational setting.5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.6.
