Teaching Personnel is working with a secondary school in Stalybridge to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in January 2024. About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of learning needs in a secondary school setting. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside of the classroom. Assisting with tailored learning plans and adapting resources to meet individual needs. Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being. Helping students develop social and communication skills. Monitoring and tracking student progress, offering feedback where necessary. Supporting students with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities. Key Requirements: Experience working with students with SEN is desirable, but not essential. A caring and patient approach to supporting students with additional learning needs. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with staff, students, and parents. A proactive attitude and a passion for education. Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
