This role will be responsible in bridging the gap between the business needs and digital solutions. You will apply your expertise in using data analytics to provide insights and recommendations, enabling informed decision-making and strategy planning. The role will also be responsible for improving business processes, identifying areas for automation, reducing time and cost, supporting the implementation of customer-centric solutions, and creating a competitive advantage through the identification and implementation of innovative digital solutions.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Monitor user requirements, prepare design documents, and validate user interface specifications.
2. Apply improvement methodologies such as DMAIC, 3C’s, or 8D’s to identify inefficiencies, eliminate defects/variation and achieve continuous improvement by breaking down a process into the following areas: define, measure, analyse, improve and control.
3. Create value stream maps to identify steps in the process that are value added for the customer, business value, and non-value. Use VSM metrics; task time, cycle time, and lead time to optimise each step to eliminate inflexibility and waste (non-value-added steps). Factor in the voice of the ‘customer’ to determine the balance between low variation, quick delivery, and reasonable cost.
4. Use key metrics (process capability index, sigma level, DPMO, mean, standard deviation, or yield) for measuring capability and efficiency of a process to determine its ability to deliver outputs within customer and business tolerance levels.
5. Assist test processes to validate incoming changes with the development team.
6. Take responsibility for the resolution of the change tasks to be achieved, within agreed SLAs. E.g., Requirement Gathering.
7. Involved in the design process of a new or updated application, to support the gathering of the business requirements (when applicable), testing and rolling out the new functionality or applications.
8. Collaborate with data analysts and assist to identify root causes in business production and recommend resolutions of data issues and specifications for reports.
9. Support the transition to ‘business as usual’, ensuring documentation, training, support, and benefits realisation processes are in place and change initiatives are widely supported.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Degree in business, management, finance, or technology related disciplines.
EXPERIENCE
1. 3+ years of demonstrable commercial experience in business analysis using methodologies such as DMAIC, 3C’s, or 8D’s to identify inefficiencies, eliminate defects/variation and achieve continuous improvement by breaking down a process.
2. Liaison with 3rd parties and other relevant organisations.
3. Experienced creating value stream maps to identify steps in the process that are value added for the customer, business value, and non-value.
4. Experienced in using key metrics for measuring capability and efficiencies of various business processes.
