Job Title: AV Event / Broadcast Technician

Rate: £250 per day (paid via Ltd or Umbrella Company)
Job Overview:
As an AV Event / Broadcast Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of AV equipment for various live events and broadcast productions across London. This is an exciting, varied role where you will work on different types of events, from conferences to live-streamed broadcasts, ensuring technical excellence every time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and configure AV equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, and sound systems, for live events and broadcasts.
* Operate technical equipment during live events, ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting issues in real-time.
* Collaborate with event producers, directors, and other technicians to coordinate the technical needs of each event.
* Perform system checks before and after events to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly to ensure events run smoothly.
* Provide on-site support for clients during events, ensuring technical aspects are managed to the highest standard.
* Assist with live streaming and broadcast setups, ensuring seamless online and broadcast delivery.
* Maintain and care for AV equipment, ensuring that all equipment is in optimal working condition.
* Stay up to date with the latest AV and broadcast technology to bring new solutions to the team.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an AV Technician, Broadcast Technician, or in a similar role, particularly in live events or broadcast environments.
* Solid understanding of AV systems, including video, audio, and lighting equipment.
* Experience with live event broadcasting and streaming platforms.
* Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues under pressure.
* Familiarity with camera setups, audio mixing, sound systems, and other technical equipment used in live events.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
* Flexibility to work on an ad-hoc basis, with availability for evenings and weekends.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong attention to detail.
