Key Details:
Salary: £6.40 per hour increasing to NMW after 12 months
Working week: Monday to Friday 8:00AM-16:00PM (Early finish Friday 15:30PM) 37 hours, (Term Time only)

Apprenticeship Details - 16 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Level 3 Business Administration Qualification. (All learning is delivered online/ remote).
Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 1st best UK training provider)
We are seeking an enthusiastic apprentice who will be providing a warm welcome and efficient reception service to staff, pupils and visitors.
Responsibilities:
* To be the first point of contact for visitors to the Academy providing a welcoming, efficient reception service
* To provide reception services to students
* To be able to work in a fast-paced reception area multi-tasking between reception duties
* Be the initial point of contact for all enquiries by telephone and in person, advising staff, parents, pupils and visitors on appropriate source of information
* To be able to deal with challenging visitors, parents and students appropriately whilst maintaining a calm persona
* Ensure all visitors are issued with badges to comply with the Academy’s security procedures
* Ensure that visitors are met by the appropriate member of staff and escorted within the Academy unless their DBS status is known and it has been agreed that they visit the Academy without direct supervision
* Be the main contact point for staff with regards to Academy events of any one day
* Maintain a tidy and orderly reception area
* Support with ParentPay account set up, queries from parents and general support
* Support with Bromcom queries from parents and general support for example MCAS, etc
* Word processing and data input as directed
* Assist with duplicating, collating and distribution of information to parents/carers, staff, students and others
* To always ensure confidentiality when dealing with issues re Staff, Students or Parents
* Undertake general clerical duties when directed including photocopying, printing, laminating and filing
* Franking outgoing post and sorting incoming mail
* Provide refreshments to visitors when required
Desired skills:
* Ability to work effectively with a range of people – students, parents/carers, staff, outside agencies
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
* Good ICT Skills including word processing
* Understanding of the practical application of Equal Opportunities in an Academy context

Desired qualifications:
* 5 GSCEs at grades A-C/7-4 (or equivalent) including English and maths.
We expect all staff to share this commitment and to undergo appropriate checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
