We have a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join an alternative education provision in King's Lynn, Norfolk. This setting is dedicated to supporting students with emotional and behavioural difficulties, providing tailored interventions in small group settings. Position Details:
- Location: King's Lynn, Norfolk
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Hours: 08:00-16:00 Monday - Friday
- Salary: £13-£15/Hour Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay
- Contract: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Work with individuals and small groups to keep students on task and engaged.
- Support the planning and delivery of lesson content in collaboration with the teacher.
- Assist in the assessment and progress tracking of students.
- Deliver SEN interventions tailored to students' needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and support emotional regulation.
- Supervise students during breaks, educational visits, and external activities.
- Provide detailed reports on student progress and contribute to professional discussions.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
- Promote inclusion, independence, and confidence in students.
SEN Teaching Assistant Skills & Requirements:
- Relevant professional qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4 or equivalent).
- Experience working with students with SEN, SEMH, or complex needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and ability to engage with challenging students.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
- Must be able to commute to King's Lynn, Norfolk
