Band 3 Administrator, 37.5hrs per week, Working between the core hours of 9am 5pm Monday - Friday
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced administrator, who can work well as part of a team whilst providing a high-quality administration support for the service.
This position is based at Walton Community Hospital supporting Thames Community Nursing Team. The Community Nursing administration role is a busy and fast paced service enabling the community nurses increased capacity to support patients in the community and their carers by providing direct nursing care.
The Community Nurses and Administration work as a team. They work closely with GPs, Social Services, hospitals, specialist nurses (eg respiratory, continence, wound nurses), Continuing Care nurses, Hospices and voluntary agencies to ensure patients needs are fully met.

Main duties of the job
There is a future plan for the Community Nursing Administration to cover a 7 day a week service. There will be an expectation of the successful candidate to be available to work weekends & bank holidays if/where required.
The post-holder will need good written and verbal communication, strong IT skills, and inter-personal and administration skills with the ability to work flexibly within a challenging environment.
A proactive can do attitude is required and a commitment to high quality, recognising the benefits of creativity and adaptability.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to A level, NVQ level 3, RSA 3, with a good basic education to include GCSE maths and English. Or a good basic education to include maths and English plus evidence of administration knowledge and skills equivalent to level of qualification
* Willingness to train/develop further skills
Experience
* Proven experience of delivering a wide range of administration tasks to a high standard in a patient/service focused environment
* Experience of working in a team
* Experience of the delivery of objectives within a constantly changing environment
* Setting up and using IT data collection formats and databases to produce reports for management information
* Understanding of data protection legislation
* Some supervisory experience
* Experience of contributing to the development of the individual skills sets of others
* Experience in an NHS/medical services environment
