What You’ll be doing:
Your role will be to create print files ready for printing on our new digital print line. Liaising with the internal design team, Customers, production and logistics. You will be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
You will be responsible for:
● Setting up new production files
● Analysing files provided by customers or in-house design teams. Checking the files are suitable for printing and that they are an accurate match to the customers’ requirements.
● Troubleshooting and fixing any file issues, including colour alignment, colour exposure, clarity, grain and other image and typography problems
● Create samples for customers or for review by the design team. Make any required adjustments to the file in response to the feedback from the customer or design team.
● Create a new sample for final approval
● Double check all samples for quality and register before the beginning of each print run
● Coordinate the production of all samples with the rest of the team
● Understand and optimise the Digital machine and its setup to get the best quality
● Maintain a continuous workflow for the printer
● Assist in research and development initiatives to improve print quality
What skills and experience you’ll bring:
● Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically Illustrator and Photoshop)
● Proficient in RIP software
● Ability to edit colours within a digital environment to ensure colour accuracy is maintained throughout the production process
● Proactive and self motivated and able to work to multiple deadlines under pressure
● Excellent verbal and written skills
● Strong organisational skills
