An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Equity Analyst to join North Lincolnshire Council on a fixed term basis for up to 16 months.
The successful postholder the will provide analytical support to help partners identify communities who are not accessing their services, providing evidence to address unmet need. They will enhance system capacity for health equity audits and impact assessment through the provision of relevant training, guidance and support, and will strive to improve inclusion, equity and diversity of provision in North Lincolnshire.
The successful person will work both independently and collaboratively across the public sector system to support and influence senior stakeholders to understand the importance of health equity audit, impact assessment, recommendation implementation, and subsequent monitoring. They will work in partnership with the integrated care board and our health and social care providers in North Lincolnshire, develop future-proofed training resources, using a variety of mediums, that will influence and enable partners to undertake their own health equity audits and impact assessments, including thorough use of the HEAT tool. Testing these resources with partners, they will ensure the materials reach the highest possible standard.
Using the Director of Public Health’s annual report, and other sources of data and insight, the successful person will work to understand and illustrate the health inequalities that exist in North Lincolnshire, to assess the unmet need of people who have been historically marginalised and underserved, and make recommendations for change.
They will develop policy and process, as well as methodologies that will support the North Lincolnshire system to close the gaps created by health inequalities and achieve our system ambition of improving healthy life expectancy by 2035. They will work directly with communities, and develop systems and ways of working that design and deliver equity.
We are seeking a passionate and driven person, with a strong understanding of research methods, research governance, and critical appraisal of research evidence. They will have advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate information to specialists and non-specialists.
They will have experience of:
• Data management and manipulation
• Designing, evaluating, and presenting qualitative data.
• Data analysis and dissemination of findings.
• Using a range of data sources in the provision of accurate statistical information
• Partnership working
They will be able to develop training resources and deliver training on a 1:1 basis. They must be tenacious and resilient, and flexible to the needs of the system.
