Ambrose Avenue Group Practice are looking for an experienced practice nurse to join our dedicated team, on a full time basis, and help us to enhance patient care. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse and highly skilled team of both clinical and non-clinical professionals, all committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred, holistic nursing care. As an autonomous practitioner, you will take full responsibility for the care you provide, utilizing your critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. We expect you to collaborate effectively with the team to meet patient needs while upholding the highest standards of care and adhering to established policies and procedures. Key responsibilities will include: • Managing long-term conditions such as asthma and COPD. • Administering childhood immunisations. • Performing cytology. • Overseeing hypertension management. • Administering routine immunisations. • Contributing to Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) achievements. • Implementing infection prevention and control measures. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: A relevant nursing degree. Current NMC registration with an active PIN. Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation. Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions. Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS. Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. Familiarity with SystmOne would be an advantage but training can be provided for the right candidate.
