Join our team as a Financial Reporting Manager at Vanquis! Reporting to the Senior Financial Reporting Manager, you’ll lead in overseeing key aspects of the accounting function for Vanquis entity products. You’ll ensure the timely and accurate production of financial accounts, with a strong focus on reviewing, preparing, and managing financial analyses and internal reporting.
As a Finance Manager, you will:
* Lead the preparation and review of month-end financial close for VB entity products (Cards, Loans, Second Charge Mortgages, Savings), ensuring results are accurate, complete, and align with company standards.
* Prepare and deliver internal financial reporting on a timely basis, offering deeper analysis and insight for Finance and Business Stakeholders on actuals vs. budgets and reforecasts.
* Assist with preparation of month end Financial Review Pack for VB entity products and present to senior business stakeholders, providing insight and analysis on performance and preparing additional MI for the pack.
* Review financial transactions to ensure correct recording within the general ledger for VB entity products, in line with accounting standards.
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely completion, and supervise the investigation and resolution of aged reconciling differences.
* Take a lead role through the external audit process.
* Contribute extensively for all VB entity products to regulatory reporting submissions to the PRA and FCA.
* Drive transformational activities (e.g. Coda/Coupa/Workiva implementations) to deliver streamlined, standardised processes that support evolving business needs.
* Champion continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures, leveraging experience and use of systems such as Workiva to drive meaningful change.
* Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders within and outside Finance, such as Credit Risk function and IFRS 9 teams.
* Undertake senior ad hoc tasks as required, acting as the deputy for the Senior Financial Reporting manager when required.
What We’re Looking For:
* Fully qualified chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 1+ years post qualification experience in accounting and finance.
* Experience of working in a regulated environment, preferably within PRA or FCA regulated industries.
* Proven track record in financial services, with responsibility for preparation and review of financial outputs.
* Strong knowledge of applicable IFRS accounting standards with proficiency in understanding impacts, particularly in reference to IFRS9.
* Knowledge of Workiva reporting systems
* Knowledge of general ledger Coda system
