Due to our colleague relocating down south after 14 years on the team, creating an internal promotion, we have an opportunity available to join our finance team of 10 people. You really need to meet these people to understand how lucky we are to have them. The range of knowledge and skill and teamwork is impressive.
Your team is made up of 1 Financial Accountant and 1 Assistant Financial Accountant (newly promoted) and of course, you. It is a steady busy, not overwhelmingly busy role and there will be lots of support to help you become familiar with your new position. There is plenty of autonomy once you are up and running.
Day to day duties will include:
* Receipting goods and invoicing transactions
* Invoicing wholesale sales and checking inventory
* Support for colleagues, when needed
About Us: We are a New Zealand owned international sourcing and distribution company. Our customers include well-known retailers and supermarkets all around the world. Auckland is Head Office and our other offices are in Australia, China, Vietnam, UK, USA, Canada, Germany and soon to be Cambodia. We have all sorts of interesting things going on all the time. About You: You will be happy in your chosen work, love contributing and naturally like to support others, have high customer service standards, be flexible and not bothered by things changing or having to sort out customer or internal queries. Comfortable with new systems (we are just implementing a few finance systems and it's going to be fabulous). You will love numbers and have a high level of attention to detail - a double-checking type of person. Also, a great “finisher”, following up so things are ticked off is essential to help everything go to plan. With at least 3 years of admin and accounts experience (ideally more), wholesale, logistics or shipping experience would be a bonus.
