The Learning Support Assistant will work in a school setting, providing support to students with special educational needs, learning difficulties, or disabilities. The role involves working closely with teachers to implement individual education plans and assist students in their learning and development.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting students in the classroom, during activities, and on educational outings
* Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and resources
* Providing one-to-one support to students as needed
* Helping students with personal care and mobility, if required
* Assisting with behaviour management and maintaining a positive learning environment
Minimum Requirements:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Relevant experience working with children or young people
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* First Aid training
* Mental Health First Aid training
The role of Learning Support Assistant involves working in a school environment, following the school term calendar and daily schedule. The work may involve some physical activity and the need to adapt to different learning styles and abilities. The successful candidate will receive ongoing support and training to fulfil their role effectively.
