Sales Engineer Position
Our client, a fabrication and precision engineering business near Barnsley, is seeking to appoint a Sales Engineer. As a Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to develop and build relationships with new customers as well as long-standing clients to grow and maintain a busy order book. Role and Responsibilities
1. Develop commercial opportunities within OEM users of subcontract precision engineering and fabrication sector.
2. Build mutually beneficial long-term relationships with customers that yield premium prices for goods and services.
3. Estimate the cost of jobs and create quotations that will be profitable while ensuring quality for the customer.
4. Liaise with a diverse number of industries to present the company's services.
Skills and Abilities
1. Strong CNC and/or fabrication and welding background.
2. Experience in estimating the approximate time needed for jobs and quoting for subcontract work.
3. Apprentice trained engineer preferred, but not essential.
4. Must be willing to travel within the north of England for site visits.
