Questech Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a full-time experienced Multi Skilled Field Service Engineer who is mechanically biased with electrical experience.
This role is to expand the field service team.
The Hours:
Monday to Friday (Apply online only) (Flexibility will be required for completion of jobs from time to time)
The Pay:
From £35,000 to £40,000 Depending On Experience.
Location:
Ideally candidates should be based within a 40 miles radius of Northamptonshire (NN12)
The Role:
This role will require you to go to the head office in Northamptonshire, the job will entail: to complete field installations, maintain and repair electro-mechanical packaging machinery and beverage equipment and provide on-going service support for customers. In particular, the successful candidate will need to be able to:
1. Work as part of the service team to provide on-site installation and technical support service for customer equipment.
2. Respond to breakdown calls and complete planned maintenance.
3. Ensure all electrical fittings/wiring meets the required safety standards.
4. Conduct an inspection of electrical aspects and ensure compliance in accordance with procedures.
5. Complete final tests on all work undertaken, taking action to rectify any faults identified.
6. Deal professionally, competently, and courteously with customers, suppliers and colleagues in verbal and written communications.
7. Accurately record and report all activities using the relative documents provided by the customers and the company.
8. Responsibly manage the company vehicle, tools and stock provided.
9. Positively respond to performance data relating to our field operations in order to continually improve effectiveness and efficiency.
10. Prepare and write customer visit reports for internal and external use where needed, utilising the company software system.
11. Full understanding and compliance with industry and company Health & Safety policies.
Qualifications & Experience
Potential candidates should have a minimum of 3 years' experience and proficient in fault diagnoses across a range of food industry electromechanical equipment.
1. A good track record of maintaining electromechanical equipment in the food and/or beverage industry
2. HNC/HND or similar engineering qualification with electrical bias preferred
3. Clean driving licence, maximum of 3 points on licence accepted
4. Forklift Licence is preferred but not essential - training can be provided
Key Skills:
1. Proficient in Microsoft office package and able in computer literacy
2. Excellent inter-personal skills with previous experience in a field service role dealing with demanding customers

3. Positive and can-do attitude
4. Capable of making appointments, managing own diary, and dealing with customer demands
5. Good fault diagnosis skills
