Internal Sales Representative (New Business) sought by the furniture solutions division of a global polymer manufacturer with over 20,000 employees across 170 locations worldwide to join their team based in Irlam.
The Role:
1. Making outbound calls to assess new business opportunities, confirming potential for our products before passing to the Sales Managers
2. Qualification of customer data to generate a focus list for onward sales and help manage the department‘s CRM system
3. Develop additional sales of products through cross selling opportunities from inbound and outbound calls
4. Use research and external Industry magazines to source and log new potential prospects and market information relevant to the furniture industry on internal company database
5. Updating the CRM database in conjunction with the Sales Managers on market size/share, new opportunities and priorities
6. Assessing and documenting relevant information on competition, stock holding, range portfolio and locations
7. Manage some small accounts and operate as holiday cover for Sales Coordinators
The successful Internal Sales Representative will demonstrate the following:
8. Experience in a telesales or outbound business development role, B2B would be an advantage
9. Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
10. Computer literate with experience using Microsoft packages including Teams, experience using SAP would be advantageous
11. Excellent organisation and time management skills
12. Ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team within a busy customer-orientated sales office
13. Knowledge of CRM systems is advantageous, although training will be given
