This trust is dedicated to providing exceptional education throughout its schools and is seeking a committed finance professional to become a valued member of their central finance team. This role is based in Watford with 4 days in the office and 1 day work from home. The Role: As a Finance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the trust’s financial processes. Key Responsibilities: Managing the full accounts payable cycle, including verifying and posting invoices. Preparing and processing payment runs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Reconciling supplier accounts and promptly resolving discrepancies. Performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records. Ensuring adherence to internal financial policies and best practices. Delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders and external suppliers by addressing finance-related queries effectively. About You: The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional with: Proven experience in finance. Ability to pick up finance systems quickly. Excellent time management skills. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A collaborative and problem-solving approach to work. Excellent communication skills. Experience in the education sector is desirable.
