In-House Legal Counsel
Full time or Part Time (they are open to someone working either 4 or 5 days per week)

Responsibilities
1. Provide legal advice and support on charity law, compliance, and data protection matters
2. Draft, negotiate, and manage a range of commercial contracts, including services, supplier, licence, grant, partnership, and sponsorship agreements.
3. Manage aspects of IP and trademark protection and enforcement.
4. Act as Company Secretary for group entities, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, statutory requirements, and regulations.
5. Corporate and charitable governance and reporting.
6. Proactively identify and mitigate legal risks across all areas of the operations.
7. Oversee the development and implementation of resources, guidance and training to empower business managers to handle low-risk legal matters.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external legal firms, ensuring efficient and cost-effective utilisation of their expertise.
9. Coach, develop, and manage the performance of the Paralegal, enabling them to reach their full potential.
10. Keep up to date with developments in relevant areas of legislation and compliance.
11. Manage the Legal budget.
Experience and personal attributes
England and Wales qualified solicitor (essential)
Experience of contract negotiation and drafting (essential)
Experience managing trademarks and IP (desirable)
Experience overseeing data protection compliance, including GDPR (desirable)
Company Secretarial experience (desirable)
