Following a successful bid to be a Scottish Government Demonstrator site, we are delighted to expand our offering in Pharmacotherapy to incorporate a new team for high-risk medicine monitoring at NHS Borders. The Pharmacy Department at NHS Borders is seeking an experienced and motivated pharmacist to lead on delivery of a new high-risk medicines monitoring service. The post holder will work in the primary care pharmacy team to lead on shared care of high-risk medicines and will interface with secondary care specialist teams to ensure best care is delivered to patients close to home.
The post holder should have relevant experience in primary and/or secondary care with a good clinical background and must have obtained an independent prescribing qualification. The post holder will provide expert advice on medicines to both patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure the use of medicines is both cost-effective and meets the needs of the patients.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, but we are open to consideration of part-time and flexible working requests for this full-time post.
