We are looking for a dynamic, certified ECE teacher (Level 7 Bachelor or Diploma) to join our under twos Nursery team, (4 teachers with 15 children), supporting children through inquiry and project-based learning.
Rabbit Patch Preschool is a well-established, beautiful, homely Centre in north-west Christchurch. We have spacious, natural outdoor spaces, an on-site resident artist (Atelierista), and a very supportive and committed management team. We draw our inspiration from the preschools of Reggio Emilia, and all teachers who join our team are supported in this approach to working with children as part of their induction and ongoing training. We closely observe, listen to, and record the children’s investigations and enhance the environment to support their inquiries. In addition to our qualified teachers, we employ a talented artist (Atelierista) who supports children’s work and teachers’ creativity.
If you are an effective communicator, a collaborative team player, have good time management, want to make a difference in young children’s lives, are passionate about quality ECE, and would like to join our team, we would love to hear from you.
We will consider a teacher in training; however, please note this is a 40 hours per week position.
Employee benefits include but are not limited to: ECE pay parity, access to ongoing training and professional development, support and mentoring from our existing knowledgeable teachers, a comprehensive mentoring programme for provisionally certified teachers, fortnightly staff lunch, optional uniform including winter jacket, and a Nespresso coffee machine.
