CNC Setter / Operator
Are you an initiative taking, motivated and hard-working individual with a passion for working with machinery? We are currently looking for someone to take on this new role of a CNC Setter who will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Lathes to produce parts. Does this sound like you?
Responsibilities:
1. Set and operate CNC Lathes to produce parts correct to drawing
2. Set and run proven and unproven programs
3. Set tools and produce 'First off' parts to the correct quality
4. Change from machine to machine at infrequent intervals
5. Fulfil training programs deemed necessary
6. Maintain equipment
Requirements:
1. Must have experience in using CNC Machines
2. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T
3. Ability to read and understand ISO and conversational machine programmes
4. Capable of using various machine controls
5. Understanding of how tools and material will react after & during machining
6. Ability to foresee problems in advance
Other desirable skills and experience:
1. IT literate
2. Experience of offline programming
3. Experience in manual turning
4. Experience of electronic inspection using Faro Arm
5. Experience in CNC turning
Education:
Basic training of a craft apprenticeship and 5 years minimum experience of actual machining. Any qualifications in engineering/manufacturing discipline.
