Overview Are you the person to help us tell our stories in our fast-paced, issues-rich environment? PepsiCo UK & Ireland is looking for an Internal Communications Executive to work as part of its busy Corporate Affairs team which looks after an exciting portfolio of food and drink brands including Walkers, Doritos, Quaker and Pepsi MAX. The Internal Communications Executive will be responsible for helping connect our employees with our mission and vision, brands and corporate initiatives through our internal communication channels. Their primary responsibility will be to ensure a regular cascade of news and information across the business, planning and creating engaging content for our weekly employee newsletter and intranet, to supporting campaigns and events. This will involve finding the stories from within the business and planning content schedules. The person in role will be required to create rich and creative content which drives employee engagement. The role also includes managing our corporate website, pepsico.co.uk. A keen writer with a news hound mentality, the candidate will have a keen eye for detail and design. They will also have excellent writing skills and the ability to develop accurate and clear messaging for different audiences across various internal and external channels. Responsibilities Source, develop and write articles to educate and inform colleagues about company news, products, policies and initiatives. Plan and manage a rolling editorial schedule for the weekly employee newsletter. Create engaging content – news article visuals, infographics, videos etc - to tell our stories which can be used across channels – working with the support of creative agencies. Manage pepsico.co.uk – keeping it up to date, refreshing photography and managing the news feed. Measure impact – develop reports and actionable insights to continuously improve content and channels. Provide ad-hoc support to the external communications team to deliver integrated communication campaigns and announcements. Provide communication support for events, including Town Halls and conferences. Qualifications Excellent story writing skills with a passion for communications and storytelling. An organized, effective multi-tasker with good time management skills. Ability to work, network, influence and communicate effectively with colleagues across the organisation. Energy, commitment and a sense of humour and perspective when working under pressure. Essential: Corporate communications experience, ideally in a large fast-paced environment – in-house and agency experience considered. Evidence of outstanding writing skills and attention to detail. Passionate about developing a career in corporate affairs. Experience producing corporate communications materials and digital content, including basic graphic design expertise. Technically savvy with good understanding of communicating in digital media channels. A keen interest in the news agenda and the food and drink industry. Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline. Desirable: Experience managing internal and/or external communications channels (intranets, newsletters, websites, digital signage systems etc). Experience using digital communication software (e.g. Contact Monkey) to design and create e-newsletters, emails and templates. Experience using graphic design packages, such as Canva, to create visually appealing content to support news and campaigns. Basic video editing skills.
