Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to support students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)? Teaching Personnel is seeking an MLD Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in York.
As an MLD Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Support students with MLD in both group and one-to-one settings
2. Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
3. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
4. Encourage and develop students’ confidence, communication, and independence
5. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly MLD
2. A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting learners
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills
4. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
5. Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
