Point of contact for University of Exeter and University of Plymouth for medical student placements, scheduling assessments, absence monitoring and performance reporting. To work as part of a team, liaising and supporting the Directors of Medical Education (DME), Deputy Directors of Medical Education, Medical Education Manager, the wider Medical Education team, the Medical Staffing team and Medical School colleagues. Responsible for managing reporting to NHSE programme managers. Works with Head of School and Subject Lead to manage the administration of regional doctor in training teaching programmes. Responsible for placing, scheduling assessments and absence management for medical students into services across Devon from 2 medical schools. Complex diary management for meetings with internal and external stakeholders and associated admin duties. Administration of regional Psychiatry teaching programmes. Organise conferences and events to NHSE annual development plans within funding guidance. Administration related to experiences of working in mental health services such as work experience or medical electives. Responsible for under graduate and postgraduate induction programmes. Responsibility for Patient/Client Care, Treatment and Therapy May have incidental contact with patients in the course of normal day to day duties. Responsibility for Policy and Service Development Implementation Propose policy or service changes that relate to medical education. Responsible for ensuring NHSE guidance is applied in conjunction with trust policy. To contribute to medical education policy at department and trust level. Responsibility for Finance, Equipment and Other Resources The post holder will hold responsibility for authorising payments to a limit on Agresso. Maintain and monitor accurate records in relation to expenditure from the Medical Education budget, recording on spreadsheets. Maintain a record of expenditure for the purchase card, recording on a spreadsheet and returning records monthly to the finance department. Responsibility for Human Resources, e.g. Supervision, Training, HR Advice and Management Involved with the recruitment of new staff within the team. Supervision of administrator and administrative officer. Responsible for multiple teaching programmes in DPT and regionally. Responsible for absence monitoring and reporting of medical students. Responsibility for Information Resources and Administrative Duties Responsible for maintaining one or more information systems for internal and external stakeholders, significant job responsibility. Responsible for recording and reporting on medical student absence. Responsible for recording and reporting study leave expenditure within NHSE guidance. Manage confidential information, correspondence and reports as required. Maintain efficient and effective filing systems primarily on shared drives. Take and distribute formal minutes and produce agendas. Responsibility for Research and Development Contribute to audit and research projects within the remit of the job role.
