Full time 37 hours and the shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Salary: 70% of the pay band maximum of the qualified rate
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Management Accountant – Advertised as Band 6 Annex 21 position, the role includes a comprehensive training programme lasting between 18 and up to 23 months (Annex 21 (2)(ii)). This approach offers candidates a development opportunity within Accounting, providing experience and expertise in a supportive environment.
Location - remote friendly employer supporting office and hybrid working. Regular presence at our Dykebar office is a requirement of this role. Based on the outskirts of Paisley with free parking and easy access to the motorway network you’ll be part of an inclusive and innovative finance team.

We are looking for someone who is committed to working in a demanding but enjoyable role in the NHS with a varied portfolio of services that are managed within the Directorate. Capable of working with finance, clinical & non-clinical staff at all levels the ideal candidate will be highly motivated and able to use your own initiative with excellent communication, organisational, IT and finance/business skills.
Working closely with the Senior Management Accountant you will be responsible for the provision of a professional financial management service to directorate stakeholders.
The Management Accountant will assist the Senior Management Accountant to lead, coordinate and develop a full Management Accounting and reporting service for the Clyde Directorate and to manage, maintain and develop an efficient and effective system of budgetary control and decision making for budget managers within the Clyde Directorate.
You will be competent in the management of financial information, financial reporting, budgetary control processes and governance arrangements. Hold a degree/HND qualified in accountancy. You will have excellent IT skills, good communication skills and the ability to use initiative and deliver to strict timelines while dealing diplomatically with staff at all levels.
