Purpose of the role
You will play a vital role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of specific projects within the Camira Group. Your role is to ensure that projects are completed within budget, comply with financial regulations, and align with Camira’s goals.
The day to day
• To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
• Preparation of the monthly management accounts for an overseas Group company. Working with the external accountants on financial compliance, including assistance on year-end accounts preparation.
• Working with another member of the team to compile statutory Year-end Financial Statements for the UK companies to meet reporting timeframes.
• Working with another member of the team to supply information for Year-end tax computations to external tax advisers for the UK companies.
• Support in the preparation of the annual R&D tax relief claims.
• Assistance in the annual audit process, providing information to and liaising with the Company's auditors as required.
• Management of the UK company car fleet. Ownership of the company car policy and being the point of contact for company car drivers.
• Management of the UK fixed assets registers and overseeing the capex approval process.
Other considerations
• Qualified or Part-Qualified accountant, ideally ACA or ACCA
• Building and maintaining the Group 13-week rolling cash forecast. Working with members of the finance team and other stakeholders within the business to produce and constantly improve the accuracy of the forecast.
• Supporting a project to obtain authorisation for Inward Processing Relief to mitigate the import duty costs incurred on the sale of goods between the UK and our Lithuanian group company. Prior knowledge of Inward Processing Relief will not be required.
• Migration of the accounting for a group company onto Sage X3 software.
• Leading on a project to obtain a VAT registration in Sweden and developing a robust process for providing accurate data to Swedish accountants for VAT return submissions.
• Leading a fixed asset verification project in our UK sites to improve the accuracy of fixed asset records.
