Based
London UK office (Aldgate), preferably on site 3 days per week.
You must have a right to work in the UK, be capable of working in the London office at least 3 days per week and seek to take the role on a permanent basis only.

We are now seeking a Chief Technology Officer, reporting to our CEO, Corbyn Munnik, who will have the opportunity to play an integral role in shaping and futureproofing our technical teams, products, infrastructure and innovation.
Roles & Key Responsibilities
CTO
Technical Leadership & Vision
• You will own and drive the technology roadmap by leading technical design and implementation discussions.
• In conjunction with the VP Product, you will ensure the team structure is fit to support the business to optimise and scale
• You will work collaboratively with other teams to build the best possible experience for our customers.
• You will ensure that our tech proposition is competitive in the marketplace.
• You will develop our data proposition internally to the point where data is a wholly trusted element of our internal offering.
• Being an active advocate for Sliide, our platform and our technology.
• Instrumenting, testing and personalising our technology infrastructure and suite of products by bringing close collaboration across technology, engineering and product teams
• You will identify priorities, managing communication up to the SLT and cascading down to your teams.
• In conjunction with the People team, you will develop career paths for your team and build in succession planning.
Build & Grow the Team
• You will manage a team of c35 heads initially, c12 of whom are on contracts based in mainland Europe. You will be tasked with reorganising the team to optimise the structure as the current VP Engineering will be leaving Sliide before EoY and the rest of your direct line in hugely varied, comprising of: VP Engineering Operations, Head of Back End (to be replaced), Head of Android and various ICs (various engineering specialists).
• You will work closely with VP Product, SLT members and wider stakeholders to deliver the roadmap
• You will be responsible for assessing and recommending the scale of the future team.
• You will be responsible for helping to attract and retain key engineering talent.
Required Experience
• You have a proven track record of leading technology teams in scaleup/start-up environments over several years, seeing growth from the c20 to c80+ head level, instilling and championing positive and effective ways of working
• You have a strong engineering background – android fe, be microservices with Go comms with GRPC. Kubernetes, postgres, open search. (Legacy product (monolith) phased out.) Interesting tech challenges in roadmap.
• Meticulous nature and results driven approach with an innate ability to build the respect of your peers and your teams.
• You’ve a proven ability to challenge, influence and do things differently with positive business benefits.
• You will have a minimum BA/BS in Computer Science or closely related degree or equivalent practical experience.
• You must be comfortable with ambiguity & uncertainty in fast changing business.
• Experience of working with large volumes of contractors on an international basis.
• You will be able to demonstrate high degrees of EQ with clear examples of where you have applied it
• Experience of white label products
• Experience of developing cyber security processes
• Encourage use of AI
• Lead DD processes and possess experience and ability to talk to Investors and Board members.
