About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable Clinical Pharmacist to join our homecare team. This role is ideal for a GPhC-registered pharmacist, including newly qualified and those with community pharmacy experience, who is eager to learn and grow in a clinical or homecare setting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment with a very friendly and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prescription screening:
o Accurately screen and clinically check prescriptions.
o Engage with various processes to deliver safe and efficient services to patients.
o Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with new therapies, medications, and treatment guidelines.
2. Adherence to Regulations:
o Maintain a thorough understanding of GPhC regulations.
o Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
o Engage in SaferCare.
3. Documentation and Efficiency:
o Complete all necessary documentation accurately and efficiently.
o Work to tight deadlines and manage repetitive tasks with the majority of work on screens.
4. Training and Development:
o Complete training related to prescription screening.
o Temperature excursions.
o Home Parenteral Nutrition (HPN).
5. Team Collaboration:
o Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including pharmacy technicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
o Participate in a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
6. On-Call and Shift Work:
o Participate in an on-call rota, covering 1 in 7 Saturdays, with paid overtime for any additional shifts.
About You
Qualifications:
* Registered and qualified Pharmacist as recognized by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Ideally, some clinical or homecare experience, but willingness to learn is key.
Skills and Abilities:
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Basic math and computer skills.
* Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments.
Personal Attributes:
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and punctual.
* Comfortable with repetitive tasks and screen time.
* Ability to be flexible with working hours.

The initial training for this role will be 2-3 months working Monday to Friday 9-5. Once training is passed, the role will be 3 weeks in office: 2 weeks at 7-3, 1 week 2-10, 1 week working from home.
