An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Manager to join the team at Head Office. Job title: Health & Safety Manager Work Hours: 21 hours / 3 days per week Location: Head Office with travel to all charity sites Service: Central Business Services Reports to: Estates and Facilities Manager Main purpose of the job: Acting as the Charity’s qualified competent person for health and safety.Ensuring the organisation complies with current health and safety legislation approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to employment and service provision. To act as lead on compliance with sustainability legislation. Main duties / responsibilities: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role managing Health and Safety relevant professional qualification - NEBOSH National General Certificate A proven track record of delivery of excellent health and safety management systems and compliance across an organisation Detailed knowledge of current health and safety legislation Experience of carrying out Health and Safety Audits and implementing required changes Experience of development of policy and procedures Experience of working with senior management Strong IT skills including use of Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook Full driving licence and access to a car Applications are welcome from applicants who: Relevant professional qualification - NEBOSH National General Certificate Chartered member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) desirable Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role managing Health and Safety Detailed knowledge of current health and safety legislation Full driving licence and access to a car To Apply: If you have a genuine passion for supporting and uplifting others, your outstanding future at Autism Anglia could be moments away.
