The Role

Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with departments to identify volunteer needs and develop role descriptions.
* Actively recruit volunteers through community outreach, job fairs, and local events.
* Build relationships with prospective volunteers, ensuring their skills and interests match appropriate roles.
* Coordinate volunteer onboarding, including interviews, checks, and training sessions.
* Provide day-to-day support for volunteers, acting as their main point of contact.
* Organise volunteer appreciation events and engagement programs to retain volunteers.
* Maintain volunteer records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
About You
We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about volunteer coordination but also thrives in a people-focused role. You will be confident networking and building relationships, whether that's meeting new potential volunteers, making links with external partners or collaborating with internal teams.
Requirements:
* Proven experience within a people focused role (e.g. HR, marketing, sales or recruitment)
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of people.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Experience in using HR or management information systems (desirable).
* A proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for making a difference in the community.

Qualifications Skills Knowledge and Experience
* A good standard of education e.g. GCSEs or equivalent including maths and English.
* Experience of engaging and building rapport with a wide range of stakeholders
* Provide basic advice to managers and colleagues in relation to people related queries
