We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Technician to join our Light Turbines workshop team in Dyce, Aberdeen. The purpose of the position is to contribute to the EthosEnergy Light Turbines Ltd. vision of creating fast, dependable and creative solutions for our customers.
Job Responsibilities
1. Disassembly, assembly of TB, Tornado and Typhoon gas generators and associated rotating equipment
2. Refurbishment activity of complete packages covering mainly Siemens Energy Product
3. Implementing instructions as recommended by the Fitting Team Leader
4. Comply with workshop procedures whilst ensuring all associated documentation is accurately completed. For example disassembly, assembly and test operational procedures and all associated work packs
5. Ensure processes and actions are completed and communicated effectively to the Fitting Team Leader
6. Maintain high standards of quality
7. Duty of Care in all HSE and Quality procedures
8. Support and participate in business improvement initiatives driven through Lean tools and techniques
9. Develop effective internal working relations within the ERO function this to include ERO Dyce, as well as relations with Field Service to meet customer requirements and support the overall process
10. Provide support and assistance to the Fitting Team Leader as and when required
11. As and when required show willingness to assist with adhoc duties as requested by the Fitting Team Leader
Required Skills / Knowledge
1. Product knowledge/technical understanding with gas turbine principle and overhaul programmes e.g. Siemens Energy or other rotating equipment
2. Competent in the use of all measuring equipment
3. Focussed on detail
4. Numerical, literacy and administration skills
5. Ability to interpret data and process it in a methodical manner
6. Flexible, self-motivated and high levels of initiative - ability to handle multiple tasks
Experience
1. Product knowledge/technical understanding with gas turbine principle and overhaul programmes e.g. Siemens Energy or other rotating equipment
2. Competent in the use of all measuring equipment
Education Requirements
1. Modern apprentice qualified in a mechanical discipline, which requires the following qualifications: NVQ levels two and three, or City & Guilds equivalent

1. Candidates should be prepared to work independently on their own initiative and as part of a team involved in a culture of continuous improvement.
