Job Overview:
As our Head Baker, youll oversee daily baking operations, from opening the bakery to ensuring every item meets our high standards. Your role will involve sourcing quality ingredients, following precise measurements, and managing the dough-making process from start to finish. Were looking for someone who can also bring creativity to our bakery, introducing exciting new items to our menu.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeingredient quality and ensure adherence to our standards
* Open thebakery early each morning, preparing ovens and equipment for production
* Measure and weighwet and dry ingredients accurately
* Use mixersto blend ingredients for optimal consistency
* Follow proceduresfor dough rising, resting, kneading, and shaping
* Bake itemsin ovens or on grills, setting timers to ensure perfect results
* Innovate withnew and exciting recipes to expand our baked goods selection
* Package and displaybaked items to prepare for shop opening
* Manage inventoryand order supplies to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
* Proven experiencein baking and managing a bakery or similar environment
* Strong understandingof baking techniques and processes
* Excellent time-managementskills and ability to work under pressure
* Creative flairand a passion for high-quality baked goods
* Ability to lead, train, and inspire a small team
