Job Overview: As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, materials, and labor for construction projects within the areas of fit-out, drywall, dry lining, render, facades, and fire stopping. You will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction phase, ensuring that projects are cost-effective and aligned with client requirements. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects. Review project plans, specifications, and tender documentation to determine the scope of work. Conduct site visits and liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information. Assess and quantify materials, labor, and overhead costs. Provide value engineering advice and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare and submit tender documents and proposals. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure the timely delivery of accurate estimates. Monitor costs throughout the life cycle of a project and make necessary adjustments. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in at least one of the following areas: Fit-out, Drywall, Dry Lining, Render, Facades, or Fire Stopping. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost structures. Experience with estimating software and proficiency in MS Office. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications: Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (not essential but advantageous).
