Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for an Adolescent Social Worker to work full time based in Wandsworth.
The salary for this permanent Adolescent Social Worker job is up to £49,285 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Undertake the full range of social work tasks with children in need and their families, including assessment, planning, implementation, and review.
2. Bring together and co-ordinate the team around the child to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to APIR and safeguarding.
3. Establish and develop collaborative working with allied health and social care practitioners from children's and adults services.
4. Develop a good understanding of evidence-based practice and integrate models of best practice into day-to-day service delivery.
5. Build professional credibility within the multi-professional partnership by achieving practice standards and meeting performance targets consistently, providing accredited practice teaching as required.
6. Actively contribute to team working, supporting colleagues, covering for colleagues in their absence, and taking part in team meetings and development events.
7. Develop an excellent knowledge base of and collaborative working with local preventative and targeted family support services, particularly those provided by the voluntary and community sector.
8. Demonstrate a high level of competence and confidence in the use of the council electronic case recording/reporting tool, maintaining accurate and up-to-date child records in compliance with the Integrated Children's System.
9. Understand, promote, and integrate into practice council policies in relation to valuing diversity and promoting equalities.
10. Enhance and promote the reputation of the council as a provider of high-quality services to children and families.
11. Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function, commensurate with the level of the post.
Requirements of this Role:
1. Social work qualification with registration with Social Work England.
2. Experience in managing social work caseloads and supervising others.
3. Experience of community and/or group work.
4. Knowledge of children's health and social care systems, agencies, and relevant legislation.
