Blackpool Council is seeking to recruit two Business Intelligence Officers to join our Business Intelligence Team.
The roles will provide analytical support, helping services to understand performance, make decisions based on the best available evidence, and improve outcomes for the residents of Blackpool. Additionally, the posts have responsibility for compiling and submitting accurate statutory returns and other national and regional data collections.
We are looking for people with excellent communication skills, who can build and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support end users to effectively utilize available data. You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, and be able to successfully analyze business problems. Experience in querying, manipulating, and analyzing large data sets, along with the ability to present results in an appropriate and meaningful way, is essential. An understanding of local government, particularly social care services, is desirable.

This post requires access to PSN (Public Services Network) services or networks, and the successful post holder will be required to undertake a Basic Disclosure check of unspent convictions through the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). This post is also subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance, evidence of any essential qualifications, and proof of legal working in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
