So, join us The Position Job Title: Junior GIS Analyst Apprenticeship Course: Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship Duration: 15 months EPA Location: Stoke Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm Salary: £17,000 Role and Responsibilities: What we need you to do · Assist in collecting, processing, and managing spatial data from various sources. · Create, update, and maintain maps, databases, and GIS layers using industry-standard GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS). · Support spatial analysis and geoprocessing tasks to provide actionable insights for business and project needs. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand GIS requirements and deliver appropriate solutions. · Assist in developing and improving spatial data visualisation for reports, presentations, and web applications. · Apply learned best practices for GIS data management, quality assurance, and documentation. · Stay up to date with emerging GIS technologies, tools, and trends. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge: What we need from you · Strong interest in GIS, spatial data analysis, and mapping technologies. · Basic understanding of GIS concepts and familiarity with GIS software. · Analytical thinking with strong problem-solving skills. · Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets. · Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. · Eagerness to learn and develop technical GIS skills.
