Working in collaboration with colleagues internally and externally our growing Communications team (part of our Marketing and Student Services Recruitment team) strives to tell our story and build our reputation, across a range of audiences and channels and in line with our new identity and brand
As Internal Communications Coordinator you will create engaging content for our internal communications channels, and use data to develop and improve how we engage and inform our staff community.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Create, post, gather and schedule content on University of Hull’s internal communications channels. This includes writing and repurposing content for use on different channels and briefing / sourcing visual content.
2. With support from the Internal Communications team manage, update, and review the content on new Staff Portal, hosted on the Service Now platform. This includes supporting the continued transition to make this portal a ‘one stop shop’ for all staff information and content.
3. Work with the Communications Officer to manage the content gathering, build and distribution of the weekly staff news bulletin and analyse and report on its effectiveness. Share the content plan and final versions with the Senior Internal Communications Manager and Director of Communications for input and sign off.
4. Monitor staff feedback and channel engagement (including to identity and use this data to recommend opportunities to the Internal Communications team and the Director of Communications on how to further engage with the wider University of Hull staff community.
5. Monitor and manage all internal comms inboxes and related actions.
