Job Responsibilities: Patient Support Receptionist duties are listed below. Weekend Tasks Morning Patient Support Receptionists Tasks - open up reception area - log on reception computers located on front desk - unlock scripts box - unlock patient access entrance - empty letter box Evening Patient Support Receptionists Tasks - close down the reception area - log off all computers that have been used in reception, ensuring that all users are logged out of clinical system - lock scripts box - ensure patient access entrance is locked and automatic mechanism is disabled - undertake security checks of consulting rooms In addition to the above, you will be required to undertake the following additional responsibilities on completion of relevant training. Script queries. Dealing and resolving script issues raised during the weekends. Fridge temperature Checking and recording fridge temperature. This is required to ensure the fridges within the centre are at the correct temperature, any problems to be reported to WIC Supervisor or Practice Manager. Contacting and making appointments for patients on QoF and/or Seasonal Flu lists and ad hoc. Checking rooms on Sunday. Ad hoc duties. Administration - To have thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures - To work in accordance with written protocols Other Tasks - Ensure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm - Any other tasks allocated by supervisor. Personal / Professional Development: The post-holder will participate in any training programme implemented by the Practice as part of this employment, such as training to include: - Participation in an annual individual performance review, including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and or professional development - Taking responsibility for own development, learning and performance and demonstrating skills activities to others who are undertaking similar work
