Job Description
CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Instrument Support Scheduler, on behalf of an industry leading manufacturer of Scientific Instruments, to be primarily based on one of their client sites in Stevenage, on a permanent basis.
About the role:
* The main purpose of this position is to organize and coordinate engineering work required on contracted laboratory instruments.
* You will be working as a member of the onsite specialist engineering team based on one of our Client sites.
Your responsibilities include:
* Using the Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS), you will assign, distribute and schedule work orders, liaising with the appropriate supervisor or third party contractor.
* You will receive all written and electronic customer work requests, verify completeness, and enter information into the CMMS, if necessary.
* Scheduling off-site calibration send away using the CMMS is another key responsibility.
* Liaising with third party contractors and procurement teams to ensure valid purchase order numbers are in place for non-contract work orders.
* You will communicate with end-users and third-party contractors to determine the priority of work and agree on dates for services and repairs.
* You will use Client systems to book site visits for third-party contractors.
* Liaising with LIS Technical Administrators to ensure calibration labels are prepared and distributed, following documented processes.
* You will keep end-users informed about the status of work until completion.
* You will review and update CMMS records to reflect the current status of equipment.
* In case of any issues or concerns, you will escalate them in a timely manner.
* Maintaining training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental, and operational aspects of daily activities is also essential.
About You:
* To be considered for this role, you will have a good educational background and 3-5 years of administrative experience.
* Excellent understanding of customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
* Experience working with CMMS databases and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages are necessary.
