We have immediate start referrals for tutors able to provide face-to-face tuition for vulnerable pupils in Chesterfield and the surrounding areas. We are looking for a tutor who can support for a minimum of 10 hours per week (flexible) with a view to increase if needed.
As a 1:1 tutor, you will need to plan, develop, and provide individualized programs for students.
The ideal candidate for this will be:
* Tutor experienced in working with students with SEMH challenges
* Able to implement baseline assessments to assess where the student is currently working at
* Confident to work professionally with residential staff, Social Workers, and other Local Authority professionals
* Able to deliver engaging, innovative lessons to help keep students engaged in their education
* Able to offer emotional support to vulnerable children where required, acting as a positive role model
* Committed to the education of this vulnerable young person.
