We are seeking a Cheese Production Operative to assist our cheese-making team in maintaining smooth, efficient operations and delivering exceptional products to our customers. Job Summary: As a Cheese Production Operative, you will play a key role in supporting our cheese-making process by assisting with a variety of tasks within the cheese production area. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, practical environment and wants to be part of a growing, dynamic team. Training will be provided, and a passion for cheese and food production is a must Key Responsibilities: Assist the cheese-making team in preparing and processing ingredients for cheese production. Support the team in turning and checking cheeses for quality. Assisting the hand and machine salting. Assist in the packaging, labeling, and storage of finished products. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the production area, ensuring all health and safety standards are met Aid with basic administrative tasks related to production records and batch logs. Help with cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas following production shifts. Support new product development by assisting with testing and quality assessments. Work with the team to ensure effective and smooth day-to-day operations of the facility. Qualifications & Skills: No prior cheese-making experience required, although any food production or manufacturing experience is a plus. Strong work ethic, with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing for long periods, and working in a food production environment. A passion for food production, particularly cheese, and an interest in learning about the craft. Must be organized and able to follow instructions carefully.
