Permanent, part time 24 hours per week on an agreed shift pattern including weekends The environment: Harrow School is situated in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London, and is one of the best-known schools in the world. Around 830 boys study at Harrow and live in the Schools 12 boarding houses. Harrow School Enterprises Limited (HSEL) is responsible for the operation of Harrow School Fitness Club, including state-of-the art performance and fitness suites, a 25-metre pool, and a four-court sports hall. In addition, the club manages external sports facility hire, including the athletics track, cricket nets and Astroturf pitches. The role: The Team Leader will be responsible for the on-shift operation of the club, under the direction of the Deputy Sports Centre Manager. This role will encompass supervision of the facilities during both School and public use. Some weekend work will be required. This role will suit a candidate with minimum of one years experience of working in the leisure industry and a current NPLQ, although the latter is not essential. The position would be ideal for someone looking to move into their first supervisory role in the leisure industry and who would enjoy being part of the life of our vibrant and historic School. It is an especially good role for those who would like the option to develop in other areas of the fitness environment, as there is flexibility to work in our gymnasium, or to pick up some lifeguard experience training will be provided. There is also an opportunity for those with a swimming instructor or fitness teaching qualification to pay a nominal fee to use the facilities to conduct their own private lessons.
