Shift Quality Assurance Technician - Nights Role Title:
Nights Shifts Work in a dynamic environment ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and review production records for accuracy and compliance to regulatory requirements.
* Conduct routine equipment audits, address non-compliances, and implement corrective actions.
* Perform Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and facility audits; lead corrective actions for hygiene issues.
* Execute swabbing schedules, analyze results, and implement solutions to ensure product quality.
* Deliver Critical Control Point (CCP) and Weights and Measures Act training to ensure understanding among staff.
* Verify compliance of products and processes; conduct quality assessments and maintain accurate records.
* Manage documentation for audits, non-conformances, and calibrations, ensuring accessibility at all times.
* Lead environmental swabbing and hygiene validations; assist in maintaining high-quality manufacturing standards.
* Evaluate new products against Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and quality standards.
* Enforce allergen protocols and provide staff training to minimize cross-contamination risks.
* Assist in traceability exercises and maintain document accessibility to prevent stock management errors.
Requirements:
* Internal auditing and manufacturing experience, preferably in a similar field.
* Strong organizational, decision-making, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
* Intermediate Excel proficiency and familiarity with reporting systems to track and analyze data.
* A commitment to quality improvement, demonstrated through leadership by example and ongoing self-improvement.
Essential Qualifications:
* Level 3 Food Safety Certification.
* Level 2 HACCP Certification.
* Familiarity with Labelling and Packaging legalities.
* Basic knowledge of Environmental and Product Microbiology.
* COSHH Training Certification.
* Train the Trainer or similar certification.
* Familiarity with 852/2004: Hygiene of Foodstuffs Regulations.
* Knowledge of the Food Safety Act 1990.
* TACCP and VACCP certifications.
