Job Opportunity: Employee Relations Partner

This is a great opportunity to join the Employee Relations team on a fixed-term contract until March 2025 (initially).
Role: Employee Relations Partner (Operational HR Business Partner)
Salary: Just over £50,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid & flexible working – must be able to reach offices within the Southwest region when necessary
Duration: Fixed term until March 2025 (initially)
As a vital member of the broader People team, the Employee Relations Partner has the responsibility of providing a professional people service across all regions and business units. This role involves offering essential support in employee relations through proactive and timely case management to all business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with Leaders to develop and implement long-term people solutions aligned with business strategy, focusing on Resolutions (conduct and conflict) or Health & Wellbeing (attendance improvement).
2. Foster positive and professional relationships across all business units, using a commercial mindset to influence and persuade managers in effectively addressing issues, using best practices, policies, and restorative techniques.
3. Provide advice and guidance, supporting Managers in managing investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance/sickness issues.
4. Contribute insights to the ongoing development of relevant employment policies and procedures.
5. Offer guidance, coaching, and support to all Leaders in Employee Relations, including training and toolkit development.
6. Record, track, and manage ER cases to resolution or handover to relevant Strategic Business Partners.
7. Supervise one HR Advisor.
What You'll Need
1. CIPD Level 7 / HR Management Degree or equivalent related qualification.
2. Experience in Workplace Mediation or Restorative Practice.
3. Extensive understanding of employment law and best practices to support leaders in team management.
4. The ability to effectively and competently manage ER cases up to Employment Tribunal stage.
5. Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.
6. Ability to work autonomously with responsibility for your own workload.
