ROLE PURPOSE The Head of PMO will ensure the successful delivery of projects across The Arch Company. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining project management standards, methodologies, and best practices, while providing strategic oversight and guidance to project teams. The Head of PMO will collaborate with senior leadership to align project initiatives with business objectives, lead the prioritisation of projects,, and ensure timely delivery and benefit realisation. As this is a newly established role, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to shape the PMO's structure and approach, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in project management. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop and implement the PMO strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Oversee the portfolio of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Establish and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and tools across the organisation. Drive accountability and challenge the business on benefits delivery, ensuring maximum value and alignment with strategic objectives. Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior management, identifying risks, dependencies and recommending mitigation strategies. Facilitate project prioritisation and resource allocation to optimise project outcomes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, leveraging lessons learned and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and engagement throughout the project lifecycle. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE Proven experience in a senior project management role, with a strong background in leading PMOs. Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results. Experience in portfolio management and strategic planning. Relevant project management certification is highly desirable.
