We are thrilled to be recruiting for a temporary Business Analyst, to support a fantastic organisation that works to protect the world's forests and strengthen Indigenous Peoples' and Local Communities' rights on land and forestry governance. This is a full time role (37.5 hrs per week), starting as soon as possible and running for 3 months in the first instance. This role will be mostly remote, with travel into their London office roughly once per month.
This position will be suitable for a recent graduate, or someone early in their career looking to gain more experience in the sector. In this role, you will support the Chief and Deputy Programmes and Impact Officers with several organisational processes to develop their broader strategy.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Compile and synthesise large data sets (quantitative and qualitative) using context analysis tools such as PESTLE/ESTEMPLE
* Analyse context and baseline data and produce reports to inform decision making (workshops, meetings as required)
* Generate bespoke analyses for two funding proposals
* Analyse stakeholder data and generate insights regarding their strategic positioning within the environmental ecosystem (familiarity with power/influence matrix and Porter's Five Forces desirable)
* Support the preparation and facilitation of sense making workshops (informed by the context analysis and the stakeholder analyses), in order to clarify their key strategic choices as well as its strategic positioning over the next 5-7 years in response to the global poly-crises
In order to be considered for this position you will need experience in a similar role or equivalent education; as well as:
* A track record of developing corporate strategies and using strategy tools
* Quantitative, qualitative analysis skills
* Visualisation/Presentation skills (Ie Excel, dashboards, Miro etc);
